I know that metronome's just aren't that sexy a pedal as compared to others.
I was playing the other day and have come to the conclusion that I need to work on my rhythm.
Anyone have a unit they really like?
Not looking to lay down a bundle, a possibility is the Boss DB-30.
Thanks in advance to all who reply.

I use and like QwikTime QT3 Quartz Metronome. I can change the tempo by 1's (120, 121, 122, 123, ....) rather than by some other number. I also have a Korg Gnome thingy that goes in your ear but I don't like it as much as the Qwik Time.
I don't like the wind-up type since they tend to drift. It's pretty subtle but annoying.

That Boss sounds really interesting, especially the beat variation function.
Thing is, can you live with the tone it produces?
When working in a music shop i tried out dozens of metrognomes :D and the "digital" ones all made varying degrees of "the most annoying bleep sound ever".
The only type i could stand were the tall German wooden type and my Seiko, with the wooden one costing too much and being loud.
The Seiko SQ 44 has a pleasing click and is effortless to use in addition to being loud enough to practice with an acoustic piano. When playing electric bass or guitar unplugged i just sit on it to quiet it or use headphones. It only does 4/4 though.
Check this out and similar if it sounds good.

Yamaha makes this QT1 metronome that looks like a spaceship. I've abused mine for 8 years, and it still works great. Bonus: It's loud enough for quiet electric practice.

clayfeat,
you da man, that thing is cool.... I can run it while I'm in garageband... very cool! I just did the thing where you record in half time using the metronome, then double the speed and add the rest of the arrangement in at full speed... sounds like bumble bee orgy! or like Ricky Skaggs version of Country Boy!
