OK. I got this pedal, but I cannot find PDF manual on Internet for it. So if someone has it, please send me on email - firstname.lastname@example.org
But we can skip manual thing if you just give answers to this two questions.
1) How HOLD function works? It seems that I should hit string one piece of second before turning HOLD On
2) What is Direct Output. I've read that I can get sitar type sound if I use Direct Output insted of Normal.

I got mine used and don't have a manual. I can figure the hold out either.
BUT the direct out I LOVE. I have two small amps, I plug the main one in the direct out, and the smaller one into the regular out and turn the output at 12:00 o'clock or higher.
You will get the deepest, cleanest, best sounding delay you ever heard.
I will NEVER use my DD-3 without two amps for the rest of my life! I set it up this way by accident, and there is no comparison. You will use 2 amps for the rest of your life.
Sound quality with a single amp, Scale of 1-10, I'd give the DD-3 with 1 amp about a 6, but with 2 amps I give it a 12.
I just have a Vox pathfinder and a Vox mini Stack. I run the direct to the mini stack and the regular to the pathfinder.
If you have a decent tube amp, you run the direct to it, and then you can buy a cheap SS amp as your delay amp.
Sitar sound? no way, it's like a bypass. Signal is dry through the DD3 on the direct.

Here's the manual:
I doubt it's going to help much though.

Thanks for manual. Now I got it for the Hold. You should also hold the last sound with your finger on strings. Ha ha. In that way you wont notice that it is actualy repeating. I tried with shot singe notes, and offcourse it didnt worked.
Now about that direct out plug I will have to check with two amps
