Lower gain Vox-In-A-Box?

I'm trying to help a friend out and find something that's got the nice upper range and smooth mid without getting too heavy in the gain. The guitar is a T-style (obviously) and the amp is fairly well planted in the Fender camp.

Anybody have any suggestions?

If you just want to try something out and not be out a lot of coin, try the Joyo AC Tone. Less than $40 all day long, and sounds pretty convincing if you ask me.

Bearfoot fx has a lower gain voxish style pedal called the Emerald Green OD.

English Channel from RunOffGroove/OLC. It does sparkling cleans and Brian May tones when the gain cranked.

That new Wampler ACE 30 is a pretty penny but looks like it would do the trick.

The TC Electronic Mojo Mojo overdrive got surprisingly Voxy...

As of late, the Wampler is the best I've heard, and gets extra points for versatility with all the controls, "15/30" mode and boost footswitch.

The Catalinbread Galileo and the Carl Martin AC-Tone also seem to be pretty good.

Catalinbread CB30. Sounds exactly like it does in many of the online clips I watched before purchasing. Very Vox-y. The new Wampler pedal sounds really nice as well (from internet demos I've heard).

I rely on my old Vox V810 Valvetone pedal that does the Vox lower gain very well, and I was thinking about getting the higher gain V830, but after listening to the new Wampler ACE 30 demos, it seems that one pedal could do it all.
