4-way switch

I've seen alot of questions on the 4-way switch wiring, so just wanted to post this scan of the wiring diagram sheet that comes with the 4-way switch.

Hi, I've been lurking here for a while, and am just about to install one of these switches (I have the same diagram). But what I'd like to know is does it matter which way around the switch is? Sorry if this is a stuipd question!
