I can pick up a Jimmie Vaughan Strat locally for $400. It's a '97 model in mint condition, i.e., nearly unplayed. Is that a good price (with gig bag)?
Thanks.

A sunburst recently closed on eBay for just over five. shakedancer December 19th, 2005, 07:24 AM yes!!! Offer them $375.00, if they don't go for it grab it for $4 bgood December 23rd, 2005, 03:36 PM I just bought a mint cond 97 for $425 Mark Davis December 23rd, 2005, 03:43 PM $350-400 is fair. Remember new they are only $496.80 or basicly $500. Last year you could get new ones for $480. jumpnblues December 23rd, 2005, 05:51 PM I rank it one of the best (if not the best) Strats Fender makes. A lot of people like the stock pu's but I'd go with VZ Vintage Pluses (or True Vintage) mid and neck, and VZ Blues bridge. Or, Lollar Blonds or Blackface pu's in all 3 positions. If you like your pu's a little hotter try VZ Blues mid and neck with a VZ Rock bridge. KBR from this board can set you up with VZ's. He's a straight shooter and will treat you right. Hey...I think there's a song there. Le'me see..."I wanna' tell you a story, every man oughta' know, if you want a little lovin', you gotta' start real slow, she's gonna' love you tonight now, if you just treat her right now, hey, hey, hey, hey"!! It's a million seller for sure. Tom |
