It was almost 5 years (!! !!) since I played a stratocaster. Iīve been stucked with my teles...... Now I think itīs time to get som strats to even things out. The first model that came in my head was the Malmsteen model which was the only guitar I wanted about 15 years ago.....
I was thinking to get the japanese version but as you probably know itīs a bit hard to try them out when you live xxxxxx miles away!
Is there any who have experience with them?
Differencies with the U.S models.?
The japan model have basswood body whilst U.S models have alder but I guess itīs pretty much the same wood and tone.
Or is it worth the extra money for a U.S model?

Any Opinions and suggestions are very welcome!

Are you comfortable with the scalloped frets? I tried one in a store once, and they really didn't work for me.

Well.....It was about 15 years since I played a scalloped neck and back then as I remeber it worked fine (maybe there was adrenaline involved). I tried a guitar some weeks ago built by a local guy which had a slight scalloped neck that felt very comfortable so I guess I can be used to a scalloped neck.
