Johnson? SKB PS-15? Boss BCB-60? Other ideas? All opinions appreciated!

I have two of these. Because they have a foam insert, they are great at holding pedals in place without having to put velcro on the bottom of your pedals. It also is very clean - with the wires hidden in a track above the pedals.

But, because of the inserts, you're pretty much limited to 5 - 6 pedals per board. I have two because I have the RC-20XL phrase looper and the DD-20 Giga Delay on one board (leaving only two spots left). The other board has my Wah pedal (which pretty much takes up the space of two pedals. So that leaves me room for my Compressor, ZenDrive, Hellbilly, SD-1, RC-Booster, and Analog Envelope Filter.

The Boss pedal board is nice as it features the removable lid and keeps things neat and tidy.

Just my $.02 - YMMV

hope this helps.

I may use some credit I have in a local shop for the BCB-60.

I have misgivings about using something "cheap" that you're going to be stepping on constantly. Build it right and it will last forever.

I guess small (I only gig 3-4 pedals at a clip) and "inexpensive" or rather "Bang fer buck" is what I should've said. The BCB-60 looks pretty sturdy actually, and has 1000 ma power supply. Not sure how good the effects loops are. I guess I'm trying to decide whether to get the case and the power supply seperately or get a combined unit. I can get a pretty sturdy case for under $100 and then get a one spot w/daisy chain for another $30 or so... just figured I'd see if the combined units in the lower price range were worth a look.

A buddy of mine sold me his for a real good price. Even though I still use it I can't recommend it at the price they go for. Feels kinda flimsy. A tech at a club accidentally tripped on the walwart wire and nearly ripped the input jack out. Luckily he had a bunch of tools handy and fixed it solidly before we had to play. The bag is the best part, and I've had to re-sew it a few times. It's gonna be replaced by something much better when it all finally dies.

Thanks Bud, This is kind of what I figured. After checking out the Boss BCB-60 I was pretty impressed, it's pretty sturdy... also the Furman seems pretty good... In all honesty, I'll probably end up buying a sturdy case and doing the power seperately with a Godlyke PS-9 or a 1-spot... both run at 1.7 amps which can power about 20 pedals with no noise issues.
