Valveverb?

Anybody tried out one of the new Peavey Valveverbs? I'm looking for a compact tube amp and I like the idea of 6L6's but haven't seen any reviews on them yet......

Do you mean the Valve King? The Valveverb was a rackmount 'verb and tremolo unit.

I've heard that the first Valve Kings are just hitting the stores, but haven't seen one in person yet.

Yeah....I meant the ValveKing (I just dug my Valverb out of the closet and had it on my mind). This new amp sounds promising....switchable between class A and A/B, etc.

but I've always wanted to try a Valveverb. How does the reverb sound? Fendery tubey and wet, or digital? What about the tremolo? Tick tock noise or quiet?

Those Valverbs kill! Wish I had bought one when they came out...

The Valve King is just hitting the market so I doubt anyone has had experience with one.

I was in a music store out of town a couple of years ago and spotted one in a rack display with a bunch of other effects....they were dusty and didn't look like they'd been turned on for some time. I really didn't know anything about them and offered the guy $150 for it and he accepted. I used it a little, then packed it away as most of my amps have reverb. From what I remember it had a great sound and I'm planning on plugging it into one of my Pro Jr's real soon. There's good reviews on Harmony Central as well as some simple mods/suggestions. It was a littly "boingy" if set too hot but here's one of the suggestions...will probably give it a try:
