Building a 6 string into a 9 string

i once read about Indo-Rock(Indonesian immigrants in Holland played this) guitarist in the late 50s build their fender jazzmasters into 9 strings by adding 3 tuners on the head

could it be done with a strat bridge, because i have this guitar laying around which i dont use much(prefer my tele :lol: ) and i thought about this

adding three extra tuners wont be much of a problem, but the bridge is



btw: those guitarist bought jazzmaster because they where about the most expensive back then
