Mounting Traditional neck pup

I'm swapping out a neck pup that mounts to the pick gaurd on my tele.

I've scored a used cherry vintage pearl PG produced by Fender's Custom shop, at the same time I'm installing an OC Duff neck pup. There aren't any holes in the body for the screws to mount the neck pup. I'm assuming that you use fairly long wood type screws and that you place the springs between the body and the bottom skirt of the pup. How do you determine where to put the holes for the screws so that the pup lines up with the hole in the PG.

Or am I way off base here??

No... but please search for it. 0le Fuzzy has a post in here somewheres on how to do it. Search on his userid and something like neck pickup.

And don't forget the old "screw it in and hope that it worked" method, followed by the "dang, I gotta redo that AGAIN!!"

Sorry for not being helpful, but that is how I usually do it.

Anytime.

The one time I was in Germany it snowed. Late March four years ago. I was in Munich, but only for a few hours. I'd love to see Berlin. My grandfather has lived on the other side of the border in Vienna for the last 20 years. That's all I have on Germany. Plus, I'm a huge Kraftwerk fan, but they're in Dusseldorf.

I wish I could speak German. Of all the languages, I want to learn it the most. Then I could visit Germany, drink authentic German "domestic" beer, and drive 200mph on the Autobahn.

Sorry, off topic.

I'm gonna spend my holiday in Germany, as we did many times. This year we'll be near Passau. Berlin is definitely a great town, we still think that our stayin' in Berlin (2 weeks) and the trip we made afterwards up to the Rugen Insel was the most thrilling holiday we've ever spent touring Europe with my beloved (late, we still miss it) Renault 5.
