Large script Telecaster logomoparmutt July 20th, 2005, 03:43 PM Just wondering if anyone has an idea what years Fender used the large script Telecaster decal, on the headstock. Thanks slack July 20th, 2005, 05:12 PM Hmm, can you be more specific? Fender was always a script logo of sorts, but different versions. Telecaster was always a sans serif font. JoeAArthur July 20th, 2005, 05:46 PM I ain't up on my fonts... I thought the question was about the word "Telecaster". It may have been the same font, but on some it was larger and bolder than others. slack July 20th, 2005, 06:15 PM I thought the question was about the word "Telecaster". It may have been the same font, but on some it was larger and bolder than others. That's why I asked for clarification. There wasn't a script "Telecaster" in the decal. But, if he means what you said, when the word "Telecaster" got the big block logo, it was in 67. Continued all the way into the early 80s. The thickness of the "Fender" script portion varied during that period, including within the same years.
