How does the Dunlop Dyna Comp campare to the real deal? I had an original Dyna Comp years ago, never used it and let it go...I am now in need of a good compressor. I was thinking about grabbing an original Dyna Comp, maybe a reissue or something from Analog man, any ideas?
Thanks

Those RIs are OK and do have the added convenience of an adaptor jack & an LED, but I have an old script logo that's much better. Even the original block logo DynaComps sound better than the RIs.
Another good one (esp. for chickn pickn & steel licks) is the old Japan made Boss CS-2. I prefer these to all other Boss compressors.
But the Marshall ED-1 is still in production. It's good, cheap and has a decent buffer.

I have one of the old block letter DynaComps, one of the spaghetti logo ones, and two of the re-issues! I like these a lot and don't really see that much difference in the new and the old. I like the fact that they all only have two knobs. My re-issues have those rubber caps on the knobs allowing you to adjust them with your toe while standing up very easily. I had one re-issue and traded a Boss compressor for another one....JH in Va.
