Strange problem with forum index page

I am running Windows 7 and use Google Chrome as my browser.

When I go onto the TDPRI, I go to the forum index page. Then I right-click on an individual sub-forum and open it in a new window, so that the forum index page stays open. When I am done with a sub-forum I close it, open another sub-forum, etc.

Lately I have noticed that, if I have the forum index page opened for a while, when I go back to it, the URL still says http://www.tdpri.com/forum/index.php, but instead of the forum index page, the image is of a bunch of red and green shaded blocks. (I saved it as a png file but don't know how to upload it.)

I have run full scans on MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes anti-malware, but both scans came up clean.

Any idea what is going on? Thank you!

I'm sorry, but I don't have any idea what your issue is caused by. So, I can't give you any advice. And, we've not had anyone else report anything remotely similar. Nor have we been able to duplicate it on our systems following your description of the problem.

At this point, we really have to think that it's an issue on your end that has nothing to do with our system.

If we get any clues we'll let you know. If you find and answer please convey it to us so that we could tell others if anyone else every experiences this issue.

I've spent time trying this in Chrome and while I can't find anything similar it does make me think that if your have the new window overlapping the old window that a video memory issue on your computer could make a problem like you describe when the top window is cleared off of the bottom window that lies underneath.

But this is conjecture, and it has nothing to do with us, so it's not anything we could help you solve.

It's not related to TDPRI but it is related to Chrome. Apparently it's a bug in the latest update of Chrome and a fix is being developed. I can't verify this for certain, but many others have reported these red/green squares appearing in Chrome.

Thanks! I clicked on that link, then copied and pasted that URL into my address bar, and the image that I saw is exactly what I was talking about. It's good to know that it is an issue with Chrome and not specifically with my computer.

Chrome is hinky sometimes. I'd use something else if it isn't behaving for you. I do internet troubleshooting in a major ISP call center. An awful lot of problems go away when people stop using Chrome.
