Standard tele body into a deluxe? [Archive]

I want to build a Fender Telecaster deluxe with some of my own personal features, but the only body I can find is one for a standard Telecaster. It's only getting a single bridge pickup and a volume/tone control so would the standard telecaster body work? I don't mind doing a bit of cutting to make a Humbucker fit, but is it possible?

Also, does anyone know where I can buy a deluxe tele neck with the 70's Strat headstock? Or will a strat neck fit fine? Thanks! :)
