YUP DrewB August 21st, 2012, 12:58 PM Does Tru-Oil darken the wood a little? I have decided to leave my new build raw but oil it lightly to seal it. The poplar has oxidized to a look I really like, but I'm going to need to sand it a bit at the next string change to smooth it up a bit. I'd like to regain the oxidized look and allow the wood to continue oxidizing to turn into whatever color it ultimately gets to. I'm not after a "protective" finish, just one that will keep it from drying out too much. Here's the thread showing the guitar as it is now. http://www.tdpri.com/forum/other-guitars-other-instruments/345171-new-build-just-few-steps-go.html trotters2 August 21st, 2012, 01:09 PM Can I use teak oil instead of tru oil?
