Telemaster relic with a Zebrawood neck

I thought I would try a different wood neck and it's not too awful. The 14" radius is better then I thought it would be and it doesnt look too out of place. What do you think of the look?

If anything, the neck is too impressive for the body; such an amazing neck makes the body look dowdy, though it might simply be the color.

I'm not sure if Copper was the right choice. It really didn't come out the way I imagined it would. I've got a Lake Placid Blue body that might end up with this neck. It has a roasted maple neck as of right now and I might put that neck on a 3 color sunburst relic body. Man I love Fender style part's. Lego's for adults.

You've got that right. I'm working on my first set-neck right now, and I'm very edgy lest everything not set up well. With my bolt-ons, it's no biggie to shim them or whatnot.

I'm a maple-board guy myself, but generally I like bolder colors on Teles; they contrast well with the maple boards and they can hold their own against a dark, highly-figured one like yours. Copper has its place, but I'm not a fan.

I don't mean to be critical; that neck is gorgeous. I'd pair it with a dark (blue, black, or hunter green) body with maple binding.

Pickguards are a little more difficult to find for Telemasters. I would like to find a black one for this and maybe a different shape. A refin would be nice but man what a headache.

I'm on the hunt for a Strat to swap for and have someone interested around here. I love Tele's but sometimes you just want to be David Gilmour for a minute.
