Compressor overdriving Chorus

I'm having a bit of an annoying problem with my compressor and chorus pedals. The comp is a Dyna Comp, chorus is an HBE THC. Chain is Comp > Dirts > Octave > Chorus > other stuff . . .

It seems that the comp is causing some distortion in the chorus when both are engaged. I use the comp for a little extra fatness and sustain - output at 2:30, sensitivity at 9:30. Everything between the comp and chorus is TB, and the problem is pretty noticable with just the two pedals on. I've been thinking about ditching the chorus for something more resembling a leslie effect anyway, but funds do not allow right now, so I'm trying to make do. I really like where the comp is set. Is my only option to reduce output on the comp?

From what I've read, the Dynacomp clips the signal just a hair; that's probably what's happening.

I have an old 70's SOLEC chorus that clips if anything hits it first, but it sounds so lush and analog. I just put it early in the chain after my wah, problem solved and it sounds great before a compressor!

Cool, thanks guys, I'll try moving it before the comp. wish I hadn't just made a bunch of custom length cables for the board, but what are you gonna do, right?
