That's the third topic concerning this oh so awesome Fender/Squier's release.
That's the response those marketing guys at Fender would like to have on forums like this every time, but nay, only Telecasters have such power!

Hi Immo,
I recognized the double PU TB before, but not this single PU version ...
Is it really "Vintage Blonde"? This would mean a see-through White - not like Vintage White.
The Single PU version looks more than great to me! And I would order a 4-way switch to add "true bypass" (direct jack to PU) ...
It's a shame that this bass was named "Telecaster Bass" too!
I always moan that the Fender guys have no real vintage spirit!
This bass should have been named "Esquire Bass"!
Single PU + 3-Way Switch > Esquire!!!
They could have put the Esquire Bass into the "Tele Bass corner" and I wouldn't have complained!
In the end: A great looking bass with the wrong name ...

Hmm... esquire bass. Yeah, I think that's a little less annoying than calling it a tele bass. Uh uh. Not one, even with a tele style guitar body. Just gross, and cheap looking to me. I really hope this one stays as a Squier model and doesn't end up as a Modern Player bass.
I'm sure the "Vintage Blonde" is Squier's version of the color.

Regarding the Duncan Designed™ PB-102 SCPB single-coil pickup I wonder if it is available to the public. I still need such a PU for my Tele Thinline build project. Anyone know? Thanks & take care. Bob

Hi, Bob, I guess this PU is made for this model only as a cheaper version of Seymour Duncan SCPB-1 (just like the Duncan Designed single coil PU for VM Jazz Bass etc).

Hey Immo. I came to the same conclusion now after doing a bit of research, I like the idea of one pu @ the neck but then i like one cylinder motorcycles & marine diesel engines. So many choices & so little money. Thanks & take care. Bob
