I started a scratch body build but realized I don't have time to work on it and will complete that when I retire next spring and establish my "man cave/carpenter shop". I had everything but the body on hand so I grabbed a cherry burst body from Guitar Fetish and assembled and set this up.

It's a mashup of various parts from various sources so they don't all fit together as I would like. The body, pickguard, bridge, control plate and tuners are from Guitar Fetish, the pickups and black knobs are inexpensive imports from ebay, the switch is Allparts, the neck is from an old AXL guitar.
I got it tuned up, intonation set and plugged it in. It's my first tele so I really didn't know what to expect, I like the sound but I think there is a problem. Each pickup sounds great by it's self but in the center position it sounds good but output is about half of each singally. I used the Seymour Duncan "Standard Telecaster" wiring. Any thoughts?
