Fender guitar bridges - comparison? [Archive]

OK, I will be the first to say that I don't think there is a huge, if any, tone difference due to bridges, but what are the nominal differences between them? What spiel would a F*nder rep have to tell us about them?

I can think of four types off the top of my head:
50s brass
60s steel
Stamped (p shaped)
Milled (rectangle shaped)

Are there any others? What considerations would there be to choose one or the other, aside from aesthetics? Um, has this been covered here already? :rolleyes:
