A fun project guitar. Carlo Robelli (Sam Ash) Acoustic/Electric CW4103FCS. I'm a sucker for something like this... that is, a nice, totally workable guitar for $50.00.
It needed all six tuner buttons, but, I had those in the parts bin.
Electronics work.
Very much fun.
Also a great thing happened yesterday. I went to the music store http://www.advancemusicvt.com/ to get strings. As I was planning to lower the saddle to improve action, I bought a saddle piece as a spare (just in case). I took the old strings off and slid the spare saddle into place to check for fit. It looked pretty good so I put string #1 on to check... it seemed OK so I kept stringing. The result was perfect with no modification. Wow! This thing is fixing itself.
