Canadianbreed August 4th, 2012, 09:49 PM So I was listening to Bullroarers by Midnight Oil and I get an email from Tom Skerlj (J is silent) asking if I ship to Australia and wants a quote for a T-Class.
He mentions he plays in a band down there called Dead Letter Circus.
By the second email I realize these guys are big and that their debut album reached #2 on the album charts. And here I thought I was just expanding in another direction. They will be going into the studio in the fall and was hoping to have a T-Class ready for it.
So I was able to pick up some rosewood and a 1pce alder blank, 2 actually for Tom the select from.
The body will be dbl bound and finished in a bone color.
Tom has also written articles for guitarworld. Cool.
It is because of this amazing forum that Tom was able to read and see my work. Thanks TDPRI!!

guitar2005 November 28th, 2012, 08:31 AM That is great! Congrats!
In terms of shipping to Australia, make sure that they understand that it will be expensive. I have two customers in Australia and just shipped one neck from Canada (East Coast) @ the cost of $89.00. A full guitar might be prohibitive.
Canadianbreed November 28th, 2012, 09:09 AM Guitar2005.
Yes we looked into shipping from the start. Of course shipping it unassembled would be cheaper. Shipping will be in the $600 range through CanPost Priority worldwide hen once there transfered to Fedex. My pricing is low enough to warrant the added expence.
junk mutt November 28th, 2012, 12:25 PM Beautiful guitar Bill, you did a great job. I'm sure he's gonna love it. So now you've hit the big time are you still gonna talk to us amateurs.?:lol:
