I'm watching the Black Keys at Lollapalooza on Youtube. Theyre my favorite band, but the show is just sloppy and sounds very weak. Any one else watching it that feels the same? I mean they have a good setlist and all, but it just isnt their best.

Not suprised, maybe their makeup and costume people were late backstage, or the label exec told them that the new trend is even smaller jeans and his legs hurt already.

it depends on the show..

some of the youtube stuff is good, and some is shot with a pocket camera...

My favorites are there appearance on Austin City limits, and one of the older ones from Austraila..BBC sessions are good too.

The Black Keys are one of my favorite bands, and I was as excited to see them in concert as I have been for any band. However, I was disappointed in the concert. In my opinion, their music didn't translate well to an arena setting. I would love to see them in a smaller venue though, I think it would be a lot better.

I saw them in a small club when they were just starting to get popular. Dan played a tele with Bardens the whole night. Waaay too loud and bright. The audience was kids copping late 70's fashion and attitude...it was like the cast from "Drugstore Cowboy". Not a fun group of people to hang with. We left before the end...

Had a similar experience. They came to Philly and were gonna play at Union Transfer, a new large club (1000 Max) . Someone figured out they could well out the wachovia center where the sixers play and moved the show, and they did sell it out. It looked awesome down where the stage was but the sound for me was delayed and hit me at the sane time as a nasty echo it sucked. Oh and i was sitting the whole time, steep things like arena seats freak me out too mugh to stand  Terrible show for me, great for the people paying $300. Lame.

I really like the band, but I think the drummer is bad.

I saw them in Toronto on Saturday night and they played an incredible show. I'm glad my kids talked me into getting the tickets.
