I bought this on eBay cause it was dirt cheap. Its a VG Strat! And came with a custom black guard. The listing said it was an 09 but the serial # tells me different. It's Z7168024 and that means its actually an 07, right?

After a setup cause the action was high and the saddles weren't following the neck radius it plays like a dream.

I played Tele's for 23 years and I'm 28 so Tele's and the four knob LP's and 335 type guitars is all I knew. The only hang up I'm having is that I keep moving that doggone vol knob by accident. That's right where I anchored my pinky on the others. After a lil research I found I'm not the only one with the issue. I placed rubber washers under them and now they turn much harder.

Does anyone have any other ideas for the issue?

Move it down to where the first Tone knob is, and wire the remaining Tone knob to function as a master tone control. That's my set up and I love it

I only have one tone control which I would guess is a master tone. It's the VG strat which has one vol, one tone. Then it has the two smaller ones which are for the modeling sounds.

Nice score. A Strat is essential for anyone's collection.

Tonight I did a couple of simple mods. I'm a big Clapton fan and sort of been going for the blackie vibe.

I blocked the tremolo due to the reason that I've been a tele player for 23 years I found I was putting a lot of pressure on the bridge and even while tuning up I'd be off pitch. I found that Clapton also blocked his and so I did some research on why you would do this. So I did.

I also put in some Custom Shop Abby pups in that I for a good deal on tonight. They sound saweeeettt! You can really tell the difference when you switch from the actual cs69's to the modeling strat sound. They are more thicker and are just awesome.

The only other thing I have coming is a custom relic maple neck that I'm going to swap out and then I might be done

You probably thinking why didn't you just buy a blackie if I was going to change it so much. Well, I wanted the modeling that came with the git, and besides, in a few months I'll switch the neck back again for something different. It's like having 2 guitars lol.

I can post some pics of it if anyone cares to see..... Sorry for being so long winded....
