I want to put p 90 in my 72 deluxe.
My goal is to find the best p 90 for this purpose.
I was thinking about black dove they seem to be cool, but I can't rely on fender's stock pickups.
What can you advise me? as for the sound I am a big fan of telecaster standard and jazzmaster.

I love P90's. IMHO the black dove is the worst sounding P90 I have ever heard. Just below average in every way and annoying to boot. P90's seem to be the easy pickup to wind. Even the cheapest ones still sound OK, and all of them sound better than a black dove. Again YMMV.I'm sure there are dove fans out there, but they're not a typical P90.
My favs are Lollar and Fralin, boutique and priced accordingly, but Duncan,Dmz,and even GFS make good ones. And since you said you like Jazzmasters, our own Fezzter makes one with slug polepieces that is quite inexpensive and very well thought of. I haven't tried that one (yet). Another option is Fralin's P92. It's HB sized, sounds like a Fender and plays like a Gibson ought to. I bought a Squier Deluxe clone just to have a platform for these p'ups.

Hey dude, i've checked Fezzter website, it seems like they don't make the pickups anymore.

If you like these guitar sounds, why do you want to install P-90s?

P-90s and Jazzmasters sound quite a bit different, and neither one will be an easy fit into your '72 Deluxe. It's not impossible, but it will require some careful wood working and a new pickguard.
