Along the lines of not "chasing tone", and deciding that my guitar is a great guitar and I don't need a better one, I treated my SBG to a "boutique" strap, from Jodi Head.

It's more money than I usually pay for a strap, but it dresses up the guitar, don't it? It cost a lot less than any of the guitars I've been thinking about. Also, it's viciously comfortable, and smells like new-leather roses!
