Derek Trucks playing a Tele..

I saw this video on a friends facebook wall. Here is some rare footage of Derek Trucks playing a borrowed telecaster at a local Atlanta jam last night.. Fast forward to around 4:35 or so. Pretty cool.

So you're saying because it "sounds like him" that the Tele gives the same tone he gets from his SG? Not to my ears. Sounds like a Telecaster to me. Played by Derek Trucks.

"tone" in the abstract, not "tone" in the specifics of a certain guitar. A guy that good sounds good on whatever. :cool: I do think the specific tone remarkably similar based on how different those two guitars are.

I agree, he will likely sound good on anything.

However, I don't understand "tone in the abstract." If you're going to make up new meanings for words, you should probably explain that up front.
