ApolloMike August 1st, 2012, 05:01 PM I saw it at the pawn shop yesterday, and went back today.
The tag showed they had $60 tied in it, and I offered $80, and they took it. Well under what they were asking. Pics to come in a few.
Mr. E August 1st, 2012, 05:07 PM So you offered $20 more? What model JTK is it? I've always wanted one, especially one of the early ones.
ApolloMike August 1st, 2012, 05:21 PM It is either a 3 or 30, I think. I need to look into it some more.
Don't mind the cheap hotel furniture in the background.
ApolloMike August 1st, 2012, 05:23 PM A couple more
Teleholder August 1st, 2012, 05:40 PM Yup, JTK3. That was a hell of a steal for $80.
dog fart August 1st, 2012, 08:20 PM I played one of those once. It didn't have the cool sparkle finish and it was much more than $80. You did good, real good.
Daddy Hojo August 1st, 2012, 08:35 PM Why don't I find deals like that? Those are pretty sweet guitars.
ApolloMike August 1st, 2012, 08:51 PM This pawn shop, I stop in once every couple months. Usually there is just a bunch of junk. Some of the guitars they have have been there almost a year. When I saw the Ibanez, I figured I would be back. She did say there were a dozen more guitars in the back, and they are having a blowout sale on 17Aug, if anyone is in the Savannah/Pooler area.
I need to find out how the dates are coded on the pawn tags, if anyone knows. That would make negotiating even easier.

I don't know if I would've shared that...
BB August 1st, 2012, 10:38 PM Congrats on a great buy and a great guitar. I spent quite a bit of time with one that looked exactly the same....loved the low-fi vibe. The playability was excellent and the p-90ish pups sounded real good. All in all these are pretty darn cool guitars.....especially at $80! What a score!
studio1087 August 1st, 2012, 11:47 PM Very cool guitar. Great deal. Congratulations!
Hiker August 2nd, 2012, 12:48 AM You got such a deal, Congrats!
