Old Reliable - My '96 Squier P-bass

I'm not much of a bass player, but when I fill in, I pull out the Squier. It has served me well over the years, it is so basic, but that's been exactly what I've needed.

Another commendable thing would be the durability. I've had this bass drop, fall over, and tumble down stairs before, all without even going out of tune (that is unless a tuning key was hit.) Its quite the tank, and I don't ever see myself getting rid of it. The reasons would be A) I would make next to no money by selling it, and B) Sentimental attatchment.

My favorite thing about it is the pickguard. I'll post a couple pictures to show it. At some point in its life, someone glued coins to the pickguard, and left them there for at least a few years before removing them. This created a 'bubble' effect on it because while the rest of it yellowed with age, the spots where the coins were remained white. Anyway, enough rambling. Just thought that after so much loyal service, it should be recognized.

Nice!

I just took mine in for a set up the other day. First thing they said: "Nice guard, looks 60's" hah... I had to take it in because while it is reliable and fun, I couldn't stand the 2nd fret anymore. There was a gouge in it which prevented me from being able to play the 1st string without buzz on that fret.
