Hey guys, just got one of the new vm jazzmasters and I have an issue. None of the pedals I use with my Tele are jiveing with my jazzmaster. I'm using a big muff into a Ibanez t-9 into a rat.and all of that ends up in either a a.c.30 or a silvertone 1484. And sometimes a heathkit ta-16.

Might have to twiddle the settings a bit on both the pedals and amp.

Not jiving..how so  How does your guitar sound without any effects going straight into your amps  I'm just asking..because your post is kind of vague..not much details here

I have the original VM Jazzmaster from a year ago..and even though your new VM has all the circuit switches..they both share the Same pickups..so they should sound identical for the most part

I use a 'Multi effects pedal with my Tube amps..and the effects are the same each and every time I use my Tele or Jazzmaster..I never change any of the parameters for the effects being used.

Heres my VM Jazzmaster with effects in this video demo..Again, not sure what is wrong with your guitar or setup with your effects..but heres mine and it sounds good to my ears.

Sorry about the vague post. I had a killer headache earlier. No I found the problem. Really crappy cables. No joke. Just really crappy cables. Got some new ones today and the problem is fixed lol! So that's that. Thanks for the help.

I know you have your issue fixed, but...most of my amp settings are middle of the road on the the tone controls. My pedals are pretty tone neutral as well. I just use the tone control on different guitars to change the 'flavor' so to speak.

That seems to work pretty well for the Fenders: Mascis Jazzmaster, Ranaldo Jazzmaster, Tele, Jaguar etc. If I am playing the Epi goldtop, then I have to fiddel a bit.
