Marshall Bluesbreaker Pedal

Hey guys.

Any love for the marshall blues breaker pedal on here? I A-Bed one with a boss blues driver and have to say i'm very impressed. Very versatile pedal that does everything from chimey open breakup to fat jcm like distortion. It also reacts amazingly well to picking dynamics and the guitar volume. The boost function is also great, I got a Peavey Delta Blues to break up on the clean channel just using the boost.
And for the price they go for, a no brainer IMO. Any opinions?

The black ones are hard to find and sound good. I don't really like the silver ones (BBII). For my money, if it's just for boost purposes, I would look elsewhere. But, whatever floats your boat should be good enough.

Agreed, the originals are nice, 2nd gen versions not so much

I have a Boss Blues Driver with the Monte Allum Blues Stack mod, and a BYOC British Blues Overdrive. I believe the BBOD is based on a Blues Breaker circuit. I use them both, and I like them both. I do get a little more distortion when I crank the gain knob on the BBOD than I do on the BD.

Thanks for the input, i tried the silver second gen one. For my taste it sounded pretty good, transparent and open, yet warm.
It won over the blues driver hands down.
