TeleShredder July 30th, 2012, 11:17 PM do any of you know of any vibarto pedals with a latch function like the shaker vibarto by tc electronics
or is it a standard feature for vibarto
sorry if this is a stupid qustion i a bit new to vibarto pedals
wbrown97 July 31st, 2012, 04:10 AM The Shaker isn't a tremolo, it's a vibrato. Vibrato modulates pitch, tremolo modulates volume. If you want latch vibrato, the Shaker is your best bet. The Behringer UV300 is a cheaper alternative. I'm not aware of any latching tremolos though.
gypsyseven July 31st, 2012, 04:59 AM If you want a super versatile tremolo/vibrato/rotary pedal then get a Hardwire TR-7.
Absolutely amazing!
nic'o'caster July 31st, 2012, 07:51 AM I guess the TC Shaker mention was to make it clear about the latch function, and I'm not sure the TR-7 does provide a latch function either. I would strongly suggest the Dr Scientist Tremolessence, expensive but one of the best sounding trem out there, and the last version have a hold (latch) vs on/off toggle that you're looking after.
JesterR July 31st, 2012, 07:59 AM Diamond Tremolo has that feature. Pricey but nice tremolo (has many other good things).

 lol sorry i did mean vibarto lol i always mix them up:oops:
artdecade July 31st, 2012, 01:51 PM Vibrato? I use a chorus with a mix knob and set it for full wet. Works for me.
-=solewheelin July 31st, 2012, 04:39 PM Woah. I think you guys mean unlatch.
Latching is when you step on the switch, take your foot off and the pedal is ON.
Unlatching is when the effect goes off when you release your foot.
Another word for it is momentary.
All that said, I love my Behringer VB-2 clone.

it marked as latch on the shaker vibarto
is the uv300 by behringer the one you talking about

smoss469 July 31st, 2012, 07:15 PM The Boss VB-2 has it as well, but that makes sense since the Behringer is a copy. The Boss will set you back like $300-$400 though. The UV300 isn't a bad pedal though, I picked one up on the cheap and enjoyed it.
markxander July 31st, 2012, 08:08 PM I just got a Behringer UV300 after gassing for a VB-2 for years
I wouldn't gig with it, but it sounds awesome
nic'o'caster July 31st, 2012, 09:27 PM What is a vibarto ? Some art de vibe ? I guess it must be in the same line than the elusive trelomo ;)
revelator August 1st, 2012, 04:04 AM I have the Shaker, got a screaming deal used, & I really like it. I also have a cheap dano plastic one that sounds great but it doesn't have a latch like the Shaker :(
Sent from my iPhone using TDPRI which ROCKS!
