Super switch route

I put a s1 switch with the super switch into my 08 tele and had to remove a little wood to make it happen. Now I'm doing a parts build on a fender reject body and the control plate with super switch and s1 seem to fit ok. SHOULD the super switch fit a standard tele route without modifying?

Standard Fender control cavity routes are 1.5" and a super switch should fit these, but barely. If it is much shallower than that, then it won't work.
