There are two versions...green is the first, then tan was released later. I thought I read that the green had the internal switch at the GT-OD setting stock and the tan version had it in the Zakk Wylde setting stock.
Can anyone verify that?

That's what I understand (I have the original green one). Same pedal; the colors/graphics are "flipped" and so is the switch- BUT I have never actually tried/compared the tan Classic OD to the green- maybe someone that has both can verify
The clerks at my GC, when they have had either the MXR Classic OD's or Distortions in stock (I own both), really know nothing about them.

Adding the on/on micro switch is a very easy diy mod, just remove the jumper switch from the pcb, put in the wires, solder, drill a hole. Maybe 15-30 minutes start to finish. there is not that much difference...the zw setting is a tad darker apparently more for hb and the classic od setting is slightly brighter for single coils. The only problem I've noticed are that the cheap pots do not have a smooth and gradual throw.

I'm really only interested in the ZW...I figured I'd just get the one that's stock in that position. Thanks guys!
