Ok I'm really wanting to build a tele,I was thinking about trying a kit from grizzly.Anybody out there who has built one of these? Is the kit even worth fooling with? This would be my first build so any advice would be welcomed.

For a second I thought you were asking if anyone had built a tele. Then I realized you meant the grizzly kit. I don't have any experience with kit building, but if you have the tools, time, and dedication (as well as money) I recommend building one from scratch. Kits are a great way to get into guitar building though. I recommend waiting for more replies and looking for different kits, so you get the best bang for your buck. Good luck!

I once bought a Saga kit for a PRS Custom 24. I thought it was kinda boring. My favorite thing about building guitars is all the woodworking, which is mostly done with kits. Other than headstock shape. If I were you, I'd just make my own. If you have suitable equipment, or money to buy equipment.

I have done some gfs kits. I think that best tele kit grizzly has looks pretty sweet. I may try one next.

I think that kit looks pretty good also,I bought an acoustic guitar kit from grizzly a couple of years back and it seemed to be decent quality but i gave the kit to a friend. Think I'll order one of those tele kits this week and give it a shot,I've never built a guitar but I've got good hands, can work on anything and I'm a craftsman in the jewelry industry. Seems like it would be very rewarding to shred with an instrument that you built yourself. I'll send you some pics and let you know about the kit when I start building.

Well, I think what we were trying to say is that it's more fun to scratch build (maybe not the neck (that's the harder part)) as to kit building. You really only assemble a kit build and paint is. The fun is in shaping it, figuring, jig building, and the reward at the end of the day.
