Drilled holes with step drill bit to fit small spdt toggle switches. One switch for cap switch (treble boost). Other one behind speaker jack - 4 or 8 ohm switch.

#6 screws will thread into the chassis holes thru the chrome plating and stay put. As long as you know your OT mounting hole spacing dimensions, you can go ahead and get your mounting screws installed and continue.

There are a number of different size OT's on the market that will work for 5F1. This Boot Hill Chassis is drilled to fit most popular selections.

Star washers behind jacks prevent them from turning and make a solid ground connection from the jack body to the chassis.

Front panel jacks and controls are installed, V1 and V2 tube sockets are wired. Heater wire is installed from V1 to V2. This is as far as I go with no xformers attached to the chassis.

(Third Filter Cap which is dedicated to the preamp side - aka signal aka input - goes to ground at the first input jack ground tab via the ground bus.

Haha! Smokin! Love that camo.

Very interested to see how your treble boost works too - that's something I may investigate further.

Hackworth,

I'm not quite sure how you connected the switchable caps on the right side of V1... can you post a pic of the backside?

What change do you expect from the 330 ohm cathode resistor? (normal is 470 ohm, right?)

Thanks!

That Camo Tolex is very 'stealth' for jungle gigs!!
