Hi all, I've lurked here for a while now. Usually when I google a guitar related question I get directed to TPDRI to get my answer. I've been playing for about 4 years and picked up my first Tele last week. A 2008 Highway one. I'm extremely pleased with it so far. I look forward to meeting and sharing conversation with all of you. Hopfully I can contribute :wink:.

BTW, Anyone want to share some upgrade musts for the tele?

I generally leave my guitars stock or close to stock. I've gotta do some searching on here about brass bridges. I noticed in pics a lot of people have them.

I prefer my Fender Pat Pend bridge reissue with the steel bridge and the three brass saddles, just the way Leo Fender made them originally. This is what I used to replace my American Standard bridge with the brass bridge and six stainless steel saddles. They do sound different.
