Hey All,
Like many others I have visited this site many times.
As fate would have it I have come into the posession of a couple of great teles. A great thinline partscaster and a vintage '73 Telecaster Deluxe. The Deluxe has, what I am told, the OWRHB pickups.:shock:
This Deluxe has been "professionally" refinished, both neck and body. In fact even the neck cavity on the body was painted. The neck however still has "TEL DLX 73" stamped on the end of the neck.
My question is this: Is there anyone in Denver, CO that could verify what parts on this guitar are original? I am sure if I provided enough photos there are experts here on this site that could help me. I would prefer to dicuss the guitar with someone in person who could actually look at the guitar and not some vague picture.
Any help with this is much appreciated. If the old Tele Dlx has enough original parts then I will probably restore it to a '73 stock body color.:grin: Or go with a reliced natural body. I think it might be an alder body since it weighs 8 lbs 2 ozs.???
