Hey folks, I've got a question for you. I put a set of gfs dream 90s in a dot 335 and to be honest I am not crazy about them but here is my problem. There is a pretty decent volume difference between the neck and bridge pup. And by that I mean the neck pup seems a good bit louder than the bridge pup. Anybody else experience this?

Have you checked the height of the pickups? I've never had a problem with humbucker type pickups, though I've never tried the dream 90's. Good luck

The neck pup is really low compared to the bridge.

Sorry, read that wrong. The NECK is louder.
Did you possibly get the neck and bridge pickups reversed when you put them in? Maybe check your wiring again as well.

I have a Flying V with a pair of GFS Mean 90s. They're reasonably well balanced, although the neck pickup is a pinch louder due to the bass bloom... I had Phat Cat's prior to this and the neck had double the volume of the bridge pickup.
IF you're concerned, give the GFS customer service an email about it. In my experiences with them they're fast to respond to any queries and want to keep their customers 100% happy.

Might be a height issue - didn't have that problem with my set.
The Mean 90s are great, and yes, are better calibrated than the Duncan Phat Cats. The Tonerider Rebel 90s are better calibrated as well. To me, the Phat Cat shines in the neck with a humbucker in the bridge.

Well I reckon you could switch the pups.. or get something else. Or maybe the bridge is defective

I've got a humbucker in the neck and the dream 90 in the bridge and it hangs with the humbucker nicely.

As far as I remember, my Dream 90s were pretty well balanced with the neck only slightly lower than the bridge.

You could measure the output and swap 'em out if there's a difference which can't be resolved through height adjustment.
