Seymour Duncan STK bridge and neck

I've recently put in the Seymour Duncan STK-T3b and SKT-T1n in my G&L guitar. They sound great-classic sound but no hum or buzz-apparantly the G&L bridge pup had a weird squealing issue when used with distortion or gain.

I've noticed though that the pickups do not have nearly the output or volume as the originals. I thought being stacked humbuckers that they would at least be as loud if not louder. I did the installation myself. I've got experience soldering, modding, and building gear-but I may have made a mistake-like over heated the volume pot when connecting the ground? Not sure-pot still works fine.

Anyway, does anyone else have these pups and similar results-good sound but low output? Is there anything I can do to boost the output short of a pedal or something else? Thanks for the help everyone.

The vintage stack is not a hot pickup. The resistance measures higher simply because of the design. Be sure you wired it up in full humbucker mode and have it raised up close to the strings.

Yea I did those two things. Actually playing it in a familiar venue it turned out to be a good volume. Def not a hot pickup though like you said.
