Need help finding bridge HB pickup

Hi,

Of all my guitars the bridge pickup sound I like the best is my Nighthawk bridge pickup with the coil tapped. It is still humbucking and warmer than a single coil but not as dark as a typical humbucker.

I would like to find a replacement bridge pickup for my strat and Tele that would give me a comparable effect. It would need to be a mini humbucker that would fit in a single coil space.

I was just reading some reviews on that pickup. Any idea how it compares to the cool rails and the JB jr?

I have had the tele lil 59 and the strat lil 59..both nice..
I think the lil 59 is a little more articulate than the lil jb
dude at this church plays one, sounds nice, but more
on the fat marshall side....

They now have a mini alnicobucker and a mini pearlygates that might be interesting

Looking for a coil tapped humbucker sound. As I understand it the JB jr can be coil tapped. Maybe that will get me closest.

I had a lil 59 in mine for a while but have gone back to original tele pickups and play a Les Paul for that thicker HB sound.

The lil 59 can be split but doesn't sound so good that way plus it seemed to have not much personality unless cranked - in my case anyways.

It may overpower the neck p/u - I had a 1970 Dimarzio PAF at the neck and it balanced well.

One of those new Kinman Noiseless P90's will fit right in a mini-humbucker slot and sound terrific!

Good to know splitting the lil '59 doesn't work so well.

Those Kinmans look nice. Kind of on the pricey side though. I'm sure they're worth the money. Just not sure I can justify spending that much.
