Love it!

The B&W is great. Love the song for mentioning Johnson City (near where I grew up) and Cumberland Gap.

Then again, The Acoustic Coffeehouse in Johnson City, TN has a sign behind the stage clearly stating NO WAGON WHEEL!

Banjo player I met last week has a case sticker that reads, " $#@! Wagon Wheel".

Hold your fire ... I personally like the song, and even play a mellower singer-songwriter take on it. I do admit it is becoming something like the Old-Timey version of "Stairway" (also a good song, from which we enjoy taking a break once in a while)

A friend of mine that still lives in the Tri-Cities has posted alot of "No Wagon Wheel" signs on FB.

One also forbade "Hallelujah" and "Use Me Up."

I imagine any song that mentions the current locale gets overplayed.

It's now considered the Freebird of Folk.
We live in cynical times.
I think it's a relatively recent development that someone could write a great song that becomes really popular and because of that, it gets put in the dustbin of cliche.
