Laika & the Cosmonauts: what next?

I bought Amazing Colossal Band when it first came out, after hearing the band interviewed on NPR and thinking, "A Finnish surf band... this I gotta hear." After a while, the CD crapped out.

Earlier this year, I got into a surf mood after picking up a Ventures "best of" in the Walmart bargain bin. That prompted me to replace my copy of Amazing.... As long as I was ordering from Amazon, I figured I'd get another Laika & ... CD. I simply went in chronological order and bought Absurdistan, which was even better than Amazing Colossal Band.

This has put me on a a HUGE Laika kick. So what's next? Keep going in order from the middle of their career? Back up and start from the beginning? Or is there a particular Laika CD that's so amazingly amazing that I should buy it immediately?

What other bands should I check out to fuel my new surf kick? I already have the Ventures and the Dillengers covered.

First, check out surfguitar101.com. Lots of info there.

As for bands, off the top of my head and not yet mentioned:

The Madeira, Frankie And The Poolboys, Pollo Del Mar, The Mermen, The Atomic Mosquitos, Slacktone. And the list goes on and on. And those are just the more recent bands. A lot of the first wave stuff is still out there, too.
