Hi
Hope someone can help.
Basically I have a TB5 in my tele bridge with a 3 way toggle. Down - series, middle - Screw pole (outer) single, top - parallel.
What I want is bottom - series, middle - screw pole single (outer), top - stud pole single (inner). The latter to replace parallel setting.
Is this just a case of taking one wire away?
Cheers

Simple . . let me try to describe it . .
You have a dpdt switch with active middle position. Connect the red and the white wires of the pickup and solder them to both center connections of the switch. Solder the green and the black wires to each of those outer switch pins that are NOT engaged in middle position. The "black" wire is HOT, the green one is GROUND.
BUT
Now you have :
UP coil 1
MID humbucker
DOWN coil2
Dunno if its possible your way . . need more time.

Cheers for that.
I think I may need a diagram? Having trouble visualising it.
Know anywhere where i can get a diagram?
Thanks

Lets try it this way . .
http://cdn.seymourduncan.com/images/support/schematics/1h_1v_1t_sp.jpg
What you see here is a push-pull-pot but a potentiometer and a single switch looks the same . .
Lets start by numbering the pins on the switch . . upper left is 1, lower right is 6.
While your switch is in the middle position, there are connections between either a: 1-3 and 4-6
or
b: 2-4 and 3-5.
You have to figure this out!
If a, you have to solder:
black - 1
green - 6
red and white together on 3 and 4. Those contacts have to be bridged.
If b:
black - 2
green - 5
red and white together on 3 and 4. Those contacts have to be bridged.
Now you connect two additional wires from the green one to the potentiometer's ground (right lug) and one to the pot's input (left lug).
I could draw you a schematic by hand, scan it and load it up . . but this would take a while . .

Hi
Thanks for that. I'm probably still getting a little confused. Sorry!
I have attached a hand drawn diagram showing how the bridge pickup is wired currently.
Toggleswitch down - series
Toggleswitch middle - screw pole single
Toggleswitch up - parallel
Am I right in thinking it will only need wires on the actual toggle moving around?

Oops . . yes, i see where i misled you . . sorry . .
Now here's a quick drawing that i made . .
The broken lines between 2-4 and 3-6 assume that these contacts are shorted while the switch is in middle position. If not, just solder the wires from 1 to 2 and those from 6 to 5. The rest of your schematic should be fine.
If your bridge+neck position sounds thin and nasally just swap the black and green wire, leave everything else as is.
Oh, and the bare wire from the pu directly goes to ground as well!
Cheers
Albert
PS: This schematic works with on-off-on and on-on-on switches
up - coil 1
middle - humbucker
down - coil 2

Plus a second version, for on-on-on switch . .
up - coil 1
middle - coil 2
down - humbucker

Fantastic!
Thank you so much for that. I will get the soldering iron out now.
Thanks
