Hello, my name is Bentley, as my profile name would suggest. I have been playing guitar for quite a while, and got my first guitar when i was about 12. I wasn't one of those kids that whines and begs for a guitar, I actually didn't ask for one, just showed my enthusiasm when I played my friends. I started a "band" when I was 12 also. My friend played drums and the same friends brother played guitar. We kept jamming almost everyday until I was 14 and moved out to B.C. The "band" was never disbanded, so I look forward to jamming with them again.
I am currently building a custom type guitar. It's a two piece mahogany body that I based on the Gibson Firebird. The neck, which I am just building, is a three peice neck. It's mahogany with purple heart in between. The neck is supposed to be like a fender neck, then I will customize the neck pocket to still be at an angle (like gibson's necks are) yet still be able to use this on my other guitars. It's a fender scale 24.5. Well now I'm just rambling. Oh, before I go, does anyone know of a thread I could read that would help me make a neck template? Bye!
