Tone pot question [Archive] - Telecaster Guitar Forum

Im close to buying a tokai tele ( wed ) that somehow lost its neck plate with its ID # The pickup cavity has mij something in it. No numbers on it anywhere that i can see. How do you read the # off the tone pots? It will give me a ball park of its date> i think! Thanks!!
