DEATHxMACHINE July 24th, 2012, 08:32 PM There's no doubt that this is mine...its a 1972 Gibson silverburst flying V well sorda lol...this was Brent Hinds of Mastodon's main guitar until he smashed it into the ground with 1 swift overhead slam..he threw the neck in the crowd then handed me the body which addmediatly after I was mugged and jumped on until security jumped over the rail..the tour manager held it for me til the end of the show I didn't get any signatures from them til this past October when i seen them again, and Brent responded with "holy $#*!, no &%$#ing way!..and he told me the story of when and where he bought it and how the dumbest thing he ever done was smash a Gibson custom shop...well here's a couple pictures
Paul in Colorado July 24th, 2012, 11:54 PM I have a picture sleeve of The Byrds "Eight Miles High" 45 signed by David Crosby and Roger McGuinn. I couldn't find it when I saw Chris Hillman so I had him sign something else.
In my Tele case, I have the signatures of James Burton, Bill Kirchen, Albert Lee, John Jorgenson and Paul Burlison for inspiration.
The pickguard of my Rickenbacker 360-12 is signed by Paul Kantner (Jefferson Airplane/Starship). I wouldn't let McGuinn sign it, but I regret that now.
indytele July 25th, 2012, 10:14 AM Don't have 'em...yet...but hoping for a pair of Ana Popovic's undies...
Stubee July 25th, 2012, 03:10 PM My wife is the one that keeps stuff. She has the original Byrds autographs, probably her Beatles concert ticket stub, BB King pick, you name it, she's probably got it.
I saw tons of big bands & doubt I have more than a couple of stubs at best.
MReynolds July 26th, 2012, 12:06 AM Got a stub from The Monkees show when no other than Jimi Hendrix opened up for them...,. I remember all the little teenie boppers booing Jimi off stage yellimg for Davey Jones.....what was THAT concert promoter smoking to put those on the same ticket..... It was a shame :(

Tele Bee July 26th, 2012, 01:47 AM My greatest piece of music mem. is an autograph from jazz legend, Teddy Wilson, whom I saw in concert in Miami on an eighth-grade field trip with my keyboard class in junior high in about 1983ish. I had no idea at the time, but when I went through my jazz-stage in my late-20s, I made the connection. Glad I kept it. Also, Set-lists that I got after shows by Sonic Youth, Morphine, and G.Love. A denim jacket signed by Steve Vai, at Ace Music in Miami from about 1988. A zillion ticket stubs as far back as 1985. A piece of yellow, shag carpet that I picked up at Graceland. Some authentic Austin concert posters for Willie, BB King, Stevie Ray, and the Fab T-Birds.

wow, love mastodon. great story too.
CyanideJunkie July 26th, 2012, 01:05 PM A signed copy of Joe Bonamassa's Dust Bowl given to me by my fiancé for my birthday. Cool thing was that she sat through one of his shows(I was called away for work and couldn't attend) even though she's not much of a blues fan, to get the entire show on video as an accompaniment for the album.
56strat July 26th, 2012, 01:15 PM I have a few signed things - Tom Petty in silver pen on the cover of the "Live at the Olympic" DVD. Neil Young on his book - obtained by a friend of mine and given to me as a gift. All of the original members of Heart on the "Dog and Butterfly" LP. Got that one at a record store appearance when the album came out.
Slip Kid July 26th, 2012, 09:21 PM :confused:This is the pride & joy of my collection which is framed along with an autographed photo over my desk. The pass, pick & autograph was given to me in '88 by a cousin who worked for a sound company. I was away at college and he told Stevie I couldn't make the show. He wrote a nice note on the photo he signed for me. It more than made up for the Clapton autograph he forgot to get me the previous fall! The pick was used and is worn on the fat end. The string was given to me by another cousin's now ex-husband who I used to jam with and was a fellow fan of SRV. One of his neighbors in the apartment he lived in at the time was Bruce Bowland, who was the singer in Krackerjack, one of Stevie's early bands. Bruce had gone to see SRV in the spring/summer '90 and after the show got the set of strings off his guitar and sent it to him, I think as a bit of a joke. He surprised me with one of the strings on 7/4/90 as we were headed out to see SRV play for the last time:cry:.
