Hey all.
Took a break from the blackwood build today to polish off the 'standard' alder tele kit that I had had on the back burner. My dad (a pro furniture-finisher) was good enough to take this body to his booth and shoot a pretty matte off-white on it (Resene 'Rice Cake' for the kiwis).
The parts were all from a Guitarspares.co.nz kit, with the exception of a wilkinson tuner upgrade. I carved the headstock and transition myself.

I finished the neck with tung oil. Keeps it feelin' like wood!

One question however, I've done an initial setup of string height and intonation and, while my 12th fret and open notes are equal, i'm about a 1/4 note sharp at the 3rd fret on the low E. How is this possible? Is it just bad fretting?
Cheers!
