Hello All,
I'm a new member. I've lurked for about a year now reading all the great discussions here. I come here when I need advice or have a problem, and usually someone else has already addressed it. But this time, I can't find any information.
I've got a Joyo Classic Flanger that is driving me nuts. I think it's some sort of circuit problem. But it doesn't make sense.
a) If you power the pedal with battery or power supply and click On, it works fine. Sounds good. Nice clear tone.
b) If it is NOT powered, and you click OFF it works fine. In other words, with no battery or powersupply it passes a clean signal to the amp. Of course with no power clicked ON, it passes no signal to the amp.
c) If HOWEVER you have it powered with either battery or powersupply AND you click OFF, it cuts the signal in half or more. In other words, the signal is not passing through as it should.
These are the tests I've run so far:
1. I've tried different amps, cables (input and output...even doublechecked the cables on other pedals), powercables, powersupplies, and guitars.
2. After reading a review that mentioned shoddy workmanship on these pedals, I even opened it up if I could see anything obvious. But my untrained eyes don't see anything amiss.
Anything you can think of would really be appreciated.
edit: misspelling
