Remove the Jack Ferrule

I ordered an Electrostatic Jack for my MIM Tele.

So, the current Ferrule needs to be removed and I don't want to spend 18$ at STEWMAC for a tool I will only use once.

How do I remove the Ferrule Jack Plate? I do not need to know how to put it on since I will use this: http://www.allparts.com/Gold-Electrosocket-p/ap-5270-002.htm

Best way to remove the Original?

Take the nut off the jack and push the jack up into the body. The cup will usually just fall off then, if not, gently pry it from the body. Now look into the jack hole and you'll see the retaining clip. That's the easy part, just place the tip of a punch or screwdriver against it, rap it a few times with a mallet and you should be able to easily drive it into the control route. Collect up the debris, and celecbrate with your favorite beverage.
